Section 1: Core Mechanics

High Checks (HC):

Used to determine a creature’s physical or mental reaction to strain effects.

Roll: 1d20 + Wisdom or Constitution modifier

Failing a High Check can result in confusion, visions, slowed movement, or other hallucinations (determined by DM).

Stoner Points (SP):

A meta-resource earned through in-character creativity, vibe, or ritual.

Each player may hold up to 5 SP. Used for rerolls, bonus actions, High Check passes, etc.

Strain Alignment System:

Indica, Sativa, Hybrid, Ruderalis – each strain affects abilities, spellcasting, and personality.

Contact High:

Environmental effect that forces a passive HC roll when within range of activated strain magic.

Strain Clash Table:

Triggered when combining opposing or excessive strains. DM rolls on a randomized table for side effects.

Section 2: Rituals & Circle Mechanics

Circle Ritual:

3+ players share in a session to create a Circle, pausing combat and gaining group buffs.

Bonuses include SP gain, temporary HP, shared visions, and combo abilities.

Passing the Blunt:

A bonus action allowing players to pass a turn benefit. Failing causes a Hot Drop.

Section 3: Weedcraft System

Cultivation:

Planting, Veg Phase, Bloom Phase, Harvest, and Processing – each with DC and downtime rules.

Infusion:

Items can be enhanced by strain. Weedcraft + Intelligence check determines success.

Section 4: Combat Additions

Smokeform:

Transformation into a semi-ethereal form during special rituals or spells.

Vision Quest:

Narrative mechanic used for prophecies, lore revelations, or personal arc development.

Section 5: Inventory Additions

Sample Items:

– Rolling Kit: +2 to joint crafting

– Grinder Shield: Reflects blunt-based attacks

– Clone Jar: Stores rare genetics

– Hash Bomb: Contact high AOE grenade
